Rules
Basics of the game
- You pick one team per week to win its game.
- If the team you picked wins their game, you move on to the next week.
- You cannot pick the same team twice.
- The last surviving player is our club champion.
Submitting your picks
- Weekly picks open at the end of the previous week.
- Picks can only be submitted via the officefootballpool.com website.
- Your pick must be submitted before the first kickoff on day of the main slate (usually 10am PT on Sunday), unless you are picking the Thursday game of course.
- You can change your pick at any time by submitting a new pick, as long as you submit the change before the weekly deadline.
- When submitting a pick, you may make a backup pick in addition to your primary pick in case the game for your primary pick gets cancelled.
Unlikely situations
- If the team you picked ties their game, you do not advance to the next week.
- However, if any players tie their game while all other remaining players lose, the players that tie either advance to the next week (if there are multiple) or is our club champion (if there is only one).
- If a week ends with no players alive, all players that lost during that week will be revived, continuing as if their most recent pick had won.
- If the regular season concludes with multiple players still alive, then the remaining players will move to the tiebreaker.
The tiebreaker
- The tiebreaker is only used to determine our club champion.
- In a tiebreaker week, the remaining players will pick winners of each game and rank them by confidence. Each player’s score is the sum of the confidence points for their winning picks.
- If the tiebreaker does not result in a club champion, it moves to the next week.
Fine print
- Each person can only have one entry (not one entry per email, one entry per person). Any funny business will result in disqualification.
- Most weeks have a Sunday pick submission deadline. Sometimes the holidays change the day of the main NFL slate. When that happens, the deadline will be that day.
- If a player does not submit a pick by the deadline, they will be auto-assigned a random team from their remaining teams.
- If any situation arises that is not covered by the rules, Kenny will use his best judgement to resolve.

The Football Guy club is an annual competition for football guys (and gals).
